Our FOOSA Half-Day Program is a commuter program (participants attend only from 9a-1p each day) for younger and/or less advanced players, appropriate for elementary through high school students who play violin, viola, cello, or double bass. FOOSA 2019 runs June 9-23.

Fresno State percussion instructor David Gabrielson is offering a special percussion session as part of our FOOSA 2019 Half-Day Program. Like the Half-Day String Program, this session is intended for pre-college musicians. Interested percussionists should have a minimum of one year of experience and be able to bring at least a pair of concert snare drum sticks (Vic Firth SD1 or sticks of a similar size). Acceptance will be decided on the basis of your audition video.

Also new this summer! FOOSA HALF-DAY HARP ENSEMBLE!

Fresno Philharmonic principal harpist Laura Porter is offering a harp class for younger players. Interested harpists should have a minimum of one year of experience. Acceptance will be decided on the basis of your audition video.

Feel free to REGISTER HERE TO PARTICIPATE IN FOOSA HALF-DAY 2019. BE SURE TO REGISTER NO LATER THAN APRIL 1 FOR SCHOLARSHIP CONSIDERATION AND FOR OUR EARLY-BIRD DISCOUNT! We allow registration in our Half-Day Program until Saturday June 1 (and sometimes, in a pinch, later). But please try to get those applications in much earlier. We cannot always be sufficiently attentive at the last minute.

Loved the faculty and the great job they did. I feel my kids experienced wonderful growth from this experience.

Fun, upbeat songs!

Thank you. We just can’t thank you enough. You are all amazing, unforgettable and loved!
