Join us this summer for musical magic! JUNE 12-26, 2016

Join us at our concerts too--check out our FOOSA EVENTS PAGE! (concert times, reserved seating, all information)

Our two-week summer intensive is geared toward serious young players who want to commit themselves to a rigorous daily workout involving orchestra rehearsals, lessons, master classes, individual practice, and plenty of performance opportunities.

Hear the FOOSA Philharmonic playing Mahler 2 at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles on June 24. Reserve seats here!

*A select number of exceptionally advanced younger pre-college students may be offered spots in the FOOSA Philharmonic. Eligibility will be decided on the basis of submitted audition videos and teacher recommendations.

Our FOOSA Philharmonic is a pre-professional orchestra that allows advanced musicians of college and high school age* to enjoy a side-by-side performance experience with our outstanding faculty members.

Instrumentation needs: violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute/piccolo, oboe/English horn, clarinet/bass clarinet/e-flat clarinet, bassoon/contra, horn, trumpet, trombone/bass trombone, tuba, timpani, percussion, and harp. Rolling admissions will continue until we have filled all available positions.

Our FOOSA String Program is a half-day (9a-1p) program for younger and/or less advanced players, appropriate for elementary through high school students who play violin, viola, cello, or double bass.

The FOOSA Festival takes place on the Fresno State campus.
